UK Clown Prince Boris Johnson

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Johnson is a caricature of what a foreign minister is supposed to be – a buffoon-like self-promoting serial liar, an embarrassment to the office he holds.

Interviewed on BBC Breakfast, he abandoned reason, logic, facts as they’re known, and common sense for bashing Russia irresponsibly, accusing the Kremlin of poisoning former spy/double agent Sergey Skripal – despite no evidence suggesting it.

The Saker said it as well as anyone “debunking the official nonsense…the idiocy of the official narrative,” adding anyone foolish enough to believe clearly fabricated anti-Russia rubbish should “stop reading…and go back to watching (propaganda) TV.”

On state-operated BBC television, Johnson irresponsibly called Russia’s factually accurate reply to false accusations against the country a “smug, sarcastic response that we’ve heard from the Russians that to me indicates their fundamental guilt,” adding:

So-called evidence, yet to be revealed, is “absolutely overwhelming. (Russia) want(s) to simultaneously deny it and yet at the same time glory in it.”

Moscow chose “this nerve agent to show people (it’ll) take revenge” against defectors. “This is fundamentally what this is all about.”

Russia strongly denies disinformation and Big Lies. It “glor(ies) in truth-telling,” not baseless accusations, certainly not in harm to one of its nationals.

France and Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn urged waiting for proof instead of rushing to judgment.

Johnson’s “overwhelming evidence” doesn’t exist. Russia fully complies with the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), its stockpile of toxic agents eliminated, confirmed by the OPCW.

Despite pledging to destroy its own banned arsenal, Washington’s still exist, using toxic agents in all its wars, including radioactive depleted uranium, along with chemical, biological, and other prohibited weapons.

Russian CW expert Anton Utkin said it’s virtually impossible to prove that the toxic agent used to poison Sergey Skripal was produced in Russia.

Anyone familiar with the technology could have produced it anywhere, he explained, adding:

“You can’t find out who manufactured the chemical weapon. The content of the substance will be fully identical while using the same method. There is no way to establish with full accuracy that a chemical comes from this or that country.”

Former Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) director Sergey Stepashin said Moscow “is accused of committing every mortal sin. Tell me, which idiot in Russia could carry out such (a toxic agent attack)? Where is the logic?”

British intelligence could have been behind it, he added. “So hand the files over to us and let us probe the crime together,” he stressed.

Johnson and Theresa May, along with other UK and US Russophobes are using a clearly concocted incident to heighten tensions with Moscow instead of responsibly seeking improved relations.

Anyone making judgements based on facts, not reckless shoot-from-the-hip assessments, knows Russia had nothing to do with poisoning Skripal.

Britain and/or Washington were likely responsible for what happened. Their sordid record of lawlessness and dirty tricks points in this direction – not at Moscow.

Note: In his book titled “State Secrets: An Insider's Chronicle of the Russian Chemical Weapons Program” published years ago, Vil Mirzayanov included the formula used to produce the novichok nerve agent.

“Its chemical formula has been published in my book,” he said. It’s available in paperback on Amazon.
