The Mueller Report on One of the Greatest Hoaxes in Modern Times

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

A previous article discussed its release. The Russiagate witch hunt Mueller, House, and Senate probes since the US intelligence community falsely accused the Kremlin of US election meddling in October 2016 found no evidence backing charges because none exists.

Getting the most attention following its Friday release to Attorney General William Barr, the Mueller report laid an egg – amounting to much ado about nothing, what was known all along but it didn’t matter.

The politicized show must go on and on and on endlessly – despite Mueller ending his probe.

Virtually everyone paying attention knows accusations of Russian US election meddling to help Trump triumph over Hillary were and remain bald-faced Big Lies.

Charges without verifiable evidence backing them are groundless. Obama’s CIA director John Brennan cooked up the hoax. Release of Mueller’s report doesn’t end things – far from it.

A new House probe was initiated, likely to continue as long as Trump remains in office. Nearly all establishment media support the Big Lie about nonexistent Russian US election meddling, along with nonexistent Trump team collusion with Moscow to defeat Hillary.

When repeated ad nauseam, disinformation, fake news, and Big Lies take on a life of their own. Most Americans were brainwashed to believe the Russiagate hoax – proving no matter how often they were deceived before, they’re easy marks to be duped again and again and again endlessly.

AG Barr provided a summary of the Mueller report in a letter to congressional leaders. What’s needed is releasing it all unredacted, Barr providing his version of what it contains.

That said, here’s what he said – first my conclusions, then his:

No Russian meddling occurred in US elections or other foreign ones – no evidence suggesting it.

There was no Trump team collusion with Russia to aid DLT’s triumph over Hillary. Her ineptness and public disdain prevented her from winning in 2008 and 2016.

To avoid becoming a three-time loser, she publicly announced no intention to run again in 2020.

Mueller’s indictment of 34 individuals had nothing to do with his mandate, nothing connected to phony allegations of possible Trump team/Russia collusion.

The Russiagate witch hunt continues, McCarthyism on steroids, one of the most shameful political chapters in US history – perhaps exceeded only by the Supreme Court annulling the 2000 election, anointing GW Bush president, denying Al Gore the office he won by the popular and Electoral College votes, the latter proved months post-election.

According to Barr, Mueller’s report is titled: “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election.”

It should have been titled politicized much ado about nothing – because there was nothing to find all along.

Mueller’s staff included 19 lawyers and about 40 FBI agents, along with “intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, and other professional staff.”

He “issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses” – a colossal waste of time and millions of dollars spent for nothing.

“The report does not recommend any further indictments, nor did the special counsel obtain any sealed indictments that have yet to be made public.”

The report showed his probe shouldn’t have been initiated in the first place – no intelligence community evidence warranting a special counsel.

Mueller lied, pretending to show Russia’s “effort to influence the election” – presenting no evidence proving it because none exists.

He lied claiming “Russian government actors successfully hacked into computers and obtained emails from persons associated with the Clinton campaign and (Dem) organizations (sic), and publicly disseminated those materials through various intermediaries, including WikiLeaks (sic),” according to Barr.

Fact: No hacking by anyone occurred. Information was leaked by a Dem insider to WikiLeaks – publishing it, the way good investigative journalism is supposed to work, nothing illegal or improper about it.

Barr: His probe “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election,” his report saying:

“(T)he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

No Trump team obstruction of justice occurred. Mueller “determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment” on this issue because no evidence justified it – nothing “sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.”

Not wanting Trump left off the hook entirely, Mueller said his “report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him” – an uncalled for remark.

The same thing can be said about virtually everyone everywhere. Trump is culpable for plenty of wrongdoing – beyond the scope of Mueller’s mandate.

It’s for others to hold him accountable, what’s not forthcoming, nor for any of his predecessors, notably his and their crimes of war and against humanity – the highest of high crimes no US officials were ever held accountable for.

Mueller’s witch hunt ended. A new House probe continues despite former GOP House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes saying the following last July:

“After more than a year, the committee has finished its Russia investigation and will now work on completing our report. We’re dealing in facts, and we found no evidence of collusion” – no illegal or improper behavior.

At the time, GOP House Intelligence Committee head of its probe into alleged Russian US election meddling Michael Conaway said his panel “found no evidence (of Kremlin) collusion, coordination or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

Yet undemocratic Dem House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff reopened the politicized Russiagate probe – virtually certain to learn nothing more than is already known.
