Russia to Blame for Everything
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman
Big Lies about Russia wore thin long ago – roared by America’s bipartisan criminal class in Washington, regurgitated by deplorable media scoundrels, an endless exercise in disgraceful Russia bashing.
According to its imperial logic, Russia is responsible for US high crimes, including CW attacks by US-supported terrorists.
On Tuesday in Paris at a ceremony for the launch of an Orwellian International Partnership Against Impunity for the Use of Chemical Weapons used by Washington and its rogue allies unaccountably, Rex Tillerson irresponsibly blamed Russia and Syria for CW attacks carried out by US-supported terrorists.
Tillerson: “The recent attacks in East Ghouta raise serious concerns that Bashar al-Assad…may be continuing its use of chemical weapons against its own people.”
“Whoever conducted the attacks, Russia ultimately bears responsibility for the victims in East Ghouta and countless other Syrians targeted with chemical weapons since Russia became involved in Syria.”
Fact: Not a shred of credible evidence suggests Syrian use of chemical weapons any time throughout seven years of war.
Fact: All CW attacks throughout the war were carried out by US-supported terrorists. Pentagon contractors in Jordan train them in CW use.
Fact: Saudi Arabia and Turkey supply them with toxic agents – perhaps Washington and Israel as well, maybe Britain and France involved. All of the above countries partner with US aggression.
Fact: Syria is Obama’s war. Trump continues what he should have ended straightaway in office.
Fact: Washington created and supports ISIS, al-Qaeda, its al-Nusra offshoot, and other terrorist groups in the country, region and elsewhere – using them as imperial foot soldiers.
Fact: Russia alone among major powers is committed to eliminating the scourge of US-supported terrorism. Along with Syria and Iran, it continues going all-out for diplomatic conflict resolution Washington rejects and systematically tries to undermine.
The Paris meeting about seeking ways to hold users of CWs accountable was farcical – Washington and other participating nations responsible for using them. Perpetrators lack credibility.
Conveniently timed ahead of the meeting, an alleged, not verified, CW attack in East Ghouta, Syria was reported by the al-Qaeda-connected White Helmets and disreputable pro-Western and funded Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
Tillerson irresponsibly blamed Syria and Russia for the alleged incident. He lied claiming Damascus “continues to illicitly possess chemical weapons and use them against its own people.”
Each time an incident is reported, real or fabricated, the key question is cui bono.
What possible strategic benefit could Syria achieve by attacking its civilian population with CWs – it’s going all-out to protect?
Clearly, Washington and its imperial partners in high crimes alone benefit from these reported incidents – irresponsibly blaming Syria and Russia for use of CWs by US-supported terrorists.
Tillerson made a fool of himself in Paris, sounding like neocon political prostitute Nikki Haley, including by saying “(t)here is simply no denying that Russia, by shielding its Syrian ally, has breached its commitments to the United States as a framework guarantor.”
On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov slammed the Paris meeting, saying:
Its “(q)uasi-collective approach, or, in fact, gathering up the states who cannot go against Euro-grands and the US is a direct violation of the prerogatives of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, a blow to the UN platform,” adding:
“We believe that the result of such sort of ‘exercises’ will be only further partition of the international community” – along with furthering destructive US imperial ambitions.
Washington is an aggressor/occupier of northern and southern Syrian territory.
It directs attention away from its criminal enterprise, despicably blaming Moscow and Damascus for its highest of high crimes – naked aggression and related atrocities against Syria and numerous other countries.
Syria wants its sovereign independence respected, an end to US aggression, the scourge of terrorism it created eliminated.
Russia is a peace champion, going all-out for diplomatic conflict resolution.
America is a modern-day Nazi Germany, waging endless wars on humanity at home and abroad – the greatest ever threat to life on earth.
If the world community doesn’t unite against its ruthless agenda, we all may be doomed.
