Good News and Bad in Syria

Liberation of over 90% of southwest Syria is some of the best news since the Obama regime launched naked aggression on the country in March 2011 - using ISIS and other terrorists as imperial proxies, aided by near-daily Pentagon-led terror-bombing since September 2014.
US-supported terrorists “suffered their worst defeat of (the war) after losing all of their territory in the Daraa and Al-Quneitra governorates to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA),” AMN News reported - along with liberating Aleppo and the Damascus countryside.
Government forces can now focus on routing US-supported ISIS from the Yarmouk Basin in southwestern Daraa governorate.
Thousands of Syrian refugees are returning home in liberated areas. Russia is involved in “rebuilding infrastructure and vital facilities in 48 populated localities,” according to its Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees in Syria head General Alexey Tsygankov.
On Wednesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry said the Center is “monitor(ing) the return of all temporarily displaced persons and Syrian refugees from foreign countries to their places of permanent residence…”
It’s “monitor(ing) humanitarian aid deliveries to Syria, and assist(ing) the Syrian authorities in recovering the healthcare system and other social services.”
What America, NATO, Israel, their rogue allies and terrorist foot soldiers destroyed, Russia is playing the leading role in rebuilding liberated areas of Syria, a noble effort along with spearheading years of diplomatic efforts for conflict resolution.
Russian involvement in Syria to preserve and protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with playing the leading conflict resolution role deserves Nobel Peace Prize recognition - never to be forthcoming from its committee honoring war-makers, not peacemakers time and again.
The bad news in Syria is continued US-led aggression, its occupation of northeast and southwest territory, its support for ISIS and other cutthroat killer terrorists, its opposition to sovereign Syrian independence.
As long as Washington and its rogue allies want endless war continued, resolution will remain unattainable.
A Final Comment
According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), around 750,000 internally displaced Syrians returned to their homes in 2018 so far, more returning to liberated areas daily.
Courageous Syrian soldiers and Russia’s involvement in the conflict deserve full credit for hopefully snatching eventual triumph from the jaws of defeat.
It was the way things looked before Russian aerial operations began in September 2015, combatting US-supported terrorists - a major turning point in a war still raging.
