US-Led Propaganda and Hot War on Syria
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
Propaganda wars precede and accompany hot conflicts. Led by America, war of words and what follows rage perpetually in the West with devastating consequences.
Sovereign independent states not submissive to US interests are targeted for regime change.
They’re viciously vilified to unjustifiably justify naked aggression, civilians in harm’s way massacred.
Anti-Syria hostility is some of the most outrageous in modern memory, its military falsely blamed for high crimes committed against the state and its people – Washington the lead aggressor.
Its orchestrated aggression continues unabated in its 8th year, using ISIS and other terrorists as imperial proxies, aided by Pentagon-led terror-bombing.
Disinformation drowns out truth-telling. Nations like Syria defending themselves against US-supported terrorists are falsely accused of their high crimes, Pentagon criminality ignored.
Syrian and Russian efforts to liberate Aleppo, Eastern Ghouta, other cities and towns, and now southwestern Syria are falsely called war crimes – accused of killing civilians they’re actively aiding and want freed from US-supported terrorists holding them hostage.
Trump escalated what Obama began, supporting the scourge of terrorism he pretends to oppose, seeking another imperial trophy in Syria. Iran’s turn awaits.
Government and allied forces are good guys. Operations and aims of Washington, NATO, Israel and their rogue allies reflect pure evil.
They want Syria smashed, its sovereignty destroyed, its resources looted, its people exploited, a permanent state of war and chaos continuing endlessly, replicating Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.
Propaganda war rages, Israeli media waging it like their Western counterparts, ignoring Netanyahu’s high crimes, falsely blaming Syria for crimes committed against it by Washington, Israel, their allies and terrorist proxies.
A disgraceful Haaretz article turned truth on its head, saying “tens of thousands of Syrians fle(d) Assad’s bombs.”
They’re fleeing US/Israeli-supported terrorists through Syrian/Russian humanitarian corridors, heading for safety, government and Kremlin forces aiding, not harming, them.
IDF officials lied claiming fighting might spill cross-border into occupied Golan, a pretext perhaps for escalating war more than already, instead of stepping back from the brink, seeking restoration of peace and stability.
On Thursday, IDF chief of staff General Gadi Eisenkot arrived in Washington, plotting his next aggression with his Pentagon counterpart and Trump regime officials.
Assad is committed to liberating Syria entirely from the scourge of US-supported terrorists, along with the presence of US and allied forces illegally occupying northeast and southwest parts of the country.
Endless war continues, Washington, NATO, Israel and their rogue allies opposed to resolution.
Putin earlier erred by withdrawing part of Russian forces from Syria prematurely, falsely claiming ISIS was largely defeated – far from it.
Its fighters and countless thousands of other US-supported terrorists remain active. The struggle to eliminate them continues.
On Thursday, Putin again announced a partial withdrawal of Russian forces from Syria, saying:
“(W)e started withdrawing our forces during my visit to Khmeimim airbase. This withdrawal continues now.”
“Over the past few days, 13 warplanes, 14 helicopters and 1,140 personnel have been withdrawn” – claiming most terrorist-held territory was liberated, earlier saying withdrawal serves the interests of restoring peace and stability to the country.
Washington sees it as a sign of weakness, likely intending to take full advantage.
How long will it take before Putin orders withdrawn Russian forces returned to Syria? Or is pullout entirely his aim?
Failure to actively resist US-led regime change efforts risks possible loss of Syrian sovereignty.
Washington didn’t wage war on Syria to quit. It’ll likely prevail if Russia fails to continue aiding Assad to combat US-supported terrorists until they’re all eliminated.
Achieving that goal is nowhere in sight so far. Syria’s liberating struggle continues endlessly.
