Putin Aims to Destabilize America’s Politcal System?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

A previous article explained that the Russian US election meddling Big Lie won’t die, new life breathed into it regularly. Otherwise it would collapse under its own weight because bald-faced lies alone sustain it.

Russophobes infesting Washington and media scoundrels keep the Big Lie alive to their disgrace.

Maintaining the fiction of a Russian and other adversaries is crucial to unjustifiably justify pouring countless trillions of dollars down a black hole of waste, fraud and abuse to continue US militarism and belligerence, its global war on humanity in service to Wall Street, war-profiteers and other corporate predators.

Since phony DNI accusations first surfaced in January 2017, not a shred of evidence suggested Russia interfered in America’s political process or intends to - what the US has done scores of times worldwide since the CIA’s  1947 creation, a moment in time that will long live in infamy.

Along with the NYT and deplorable 24/7 cable “news” in America, the neocon CIA house organ Washington Post is a key perpetrator of the long ago discredited Russian meddling Big Lie that won’t die.

Its latest broadside turned truth on its head, claiming Vladimir Putin aims “to destabilize America’s political system.”

He’s gone all-out to achieve normalized relations with the US and West, his efforts polar opposite falsified claims of meddling and destabilization tactics.

He failed and has virtually no chance of succeeding because bipartisan neocons infesting Washington want a Russian adversary, not ally.

Helsinki summit talks with Trump provided the latest evidence - achieving nothing positive despite genuine efforts by Putin to have things turn out otherwise.

Trump likely wants improved bilateral relations as well. Dark forces running things in Washington prevent it.

His choice is either go along or risk removal from office - what may happen anyway because America’s intelligence community, undemocratic Dems, and media scoundrels strongly oppose him.

WaPo: “The new freewheeling, anything-goes style is evident in Russia’s 2016 assault on the U.S. political system. The Kremlin attacked from three directions: GRU military intelligence, the FSB security service and a social-media troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency, managed by one of Putin’s oligarch pals.”

“The Russians floated their covert-action propaganda through Facebook, Twitter, WikiLeaks and other social media outlets.”

All of the above is pure rubbish, but when repeated ad nauseam most people believe it. Americans are the most over-entertained, uninformed people on the planet - easy marks to deceive no matter how many times they were duped before.

The litany of Big Lies about Russia won’t quit, new ones made up to sustain the deception.

According to WaPo, “Putin is running a multiplatform spy service for the Internet era.”

Falsely claiming he wants America’s political process destabilized ignores his rapprochement agenda - a notion bipartisan neocons in Washington and supportive media scoundrels reject.
