The NYT Calls for Impeaching Trump

Calling him “demonstrably unfit for office,” the self-styled newspaper of record mouthpiece for the imperial state and monied interests failed to explain its one-sided bias against him throughout the 2016 campaign and aftermath.
In the run-up to the November 2016 election, the Times acted as a virtual press agent for Hillary, a figure I called the most ruthlessly dangerous presidential aspirant in US history.
I explained Russiagate should have been Hillarygate, a Dem standard bearer by primary election theft and other dirty tricks.
She and the DNC financed former MI6 spy Christopher Steele’s doggy dossier on Trump - filled with unverified accusations and allegations, an effort with no credibility.
The Clinton crime family pursued and endorsed endless wars of aggression during their time in government, state terror on a global scale, and first-strike use of nuclear weapons Hillary called peacekeeping deterrents.
Make no mistake. There’s plenty about Trump to criticize, including just cause to impeach him and most of his predecessors for Nuremberg-level crimes - not what the Times and undemocratic Dems want him ousted for.
According to the Times, Trump breached his inaugural oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
So did Bush I and II, the Clintons, Obama, and most of their predecessors, Trump not at all unique, including the use of his high office for personal gain.
In the post-WW II era, most US presidents acted the same way - Truman, JFK, and Carter the exceptions.
Jimmy Carter’s life after the presidency has been most exemplary, founding the Carter Center, calling its mission “Waging Peace. Fighting Disease. Building Hope.”
In his 90s, he still works actively with Habitat for Humanity International, involved in providing housing for poor and disadvantaged people.
He’s written books, including “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid,” calling conditions under Israeli occupation “intolerable,” especially in Gaza.
He earlier slammed Netanyahu, saying “(a)s long as he is in charge, there will be no two-state solution and therefore no Palestinian state” - nor peace and justice for a long-suffering people.
The Clintons, Bush II, and Obama notably profit hugely from their tenure as president, including self-enrichment from speeches with Orwellian mumbo jumbo to be ignored, not followed.
An array of Times accusations against Trump applies to most of his predecessors. Accusing him of “obstruct(ing) justice,” an impeachable offense, is a bald-faced lie.
So is saying “(h)e has tried to shake the public’s confidence in one democratic institution after another, including the press…”
No US democratic institutions exist. The so-called “press” is a national disgrace, notably the record of the self-styled newspaper of record.
It features a daily diet of managed news misinformation and disinformation on major domestic and geopolitical issues. It supports imperial and monied interests against the rule of law, democratic values, and the general welfare.
It uses journalism as advocacy for powerful interests, enough to give propaganda a bad name.
The Times: “The United States has never had a president as demonstrably unfit for the office as Trump. And it’s becoming clear that 2019 is likely to be dominated by a single question: What are we going to do about it?”
The Times endorsed coup d’etats and naked aggression against governments US regimes want toppled. It called “(t)he cost of removing (Trump) from office…smaller than the cost of allowing this president to remain” - ignoring constitutional law.
Presidents, vice presidents, other pols and civil officers may only be constitutionally impeached and removed from office for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Views on any issues aren’t impeachable offenses, no matter how extreme, offensive or different from most others in government.
Nor are hush money payments to porn stars and/or other paramours, and virtually all other allegations and accusations against Trump by the Times, other media, and undemocratic Dems.
No evidence suggests he obstructed justice during an unjustifiable federal investigation into Michael Flynn’s legitimate contacts with Russian officials.
Nor anything related to Russian US election meddling that never occurred. Nor firing James Comey. Nor acting any differently than his predecessors.
If impeachable allegations and accusations against him are warranted, the same goes for his predecessors and vast majority of congressional members on both sides of the aisle.
I’m for a clean sweep. Throw all the bums out. End a hugely corrupted system, the way things are now.
Replace what’s going on with governance supporting peace, equity and justice for everyone - what the Times and other establishment media oppose.
The deplorable state of America’s media reflects the abysmal state of the nation, a country bent of world dominance. Its rage to achieve diabolical aims may kill us all if not challenged and stopped.
That’s my take on things, refusing to accept the status quo, demanding a new way, knowing voting doesn’t work. Sustained activism in the streets nationwide does.
America needs a yellow vest-type campaign for the long haul like what’s going on in France. Part of it requires tuning out establishment media, following reliable independent sources alone, mainly online.
People have power when they use it. The late human rights champion Lynne Stewart urged “Organize (and) Agitate!”
Radical economist, economic historian and political activist Doug Dowd (1919 - 2017) said sitting on the sidelines accomplishes nothing.
Indifference isn’t an option. Nothing important changes without public involvement and activism. Dowd called for a people’s movement for “genuine and peaceful democracy.”
Muckraking journalist IF Stone (1907 - 1989) said “(t)he only kinds of fights worth fighting are those you’re going to lose, because somebody has to fight them and lose and lose and lose until someday, somebody who believes as you do wins.”
Late in life, that’s what drives me. I can’t change the world, but I’m trying like hell to push it a little in the right direction, urging many others to push with me.
