NSA/Cyber Command Head on Countering Nonexistent Russian Interference
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
After around 10 months of work, special counsel Mueller found no evidence of improper or illegal Trump team connections to Russia because there’s nothing to find.
Nor did he uncover anything suggesting Russian interference in America’s electoral process – during the 2016 presidential campaign or directed against this year’s midterm congressional races.
Attention should be directed at Washington’s notorious record of meddling in scores of foreign elections, aimed at installing pro-Western governments, opposing independent ones it doesn’t control.
Russiagate is a colossal hoax, supported by media scoundrels instead of exposing and denouncing it.
No evidence justified Mueller’s appointment. As Judicial Watch (JD) explained, without Christopher Steele’s doggy dossier on Trump, financed by Hillary and the DNC to denigrate and delegitimize him, arguably a criminal act, no special counsel investigation would have occurred.
JD argued for terminating it straightaway, closing down what never should have been initiated.
In testimony before Senate Armed Services Committee members Tuesday, NSA/US Cyber Command head Admiral Michael Rogers turned truth on its head, claiming Russia intends interfering in November midterm congressional elections.
Not a shred of evidence suggests it. He provided none backing his accusation. “We’re taking steps, but we’re probably not doing enough,” he said, adding:
Vladimir Putin “has clearly come to the conclusion that ‘there’s little price to pay here and therefore I can continue this activity.’ ”
“If we don’t change the dynamic here, this is going to continue.” He ordered US Cybercom’s National Mission Force “to begin some specific work” – to counter a nonexistent threat, he failed to explain.
Rogers: “What I see on the Cyber Command side leads me to believe that if we don’t change the dynamic here, that this is going to continue, and 2016 won’t be viewed as isolated. This is something that will be sustained over time.”
Rogers along with other heads of Washington’s intelligence community continue claiming Russian meddling without providing evidence proving it.
Accusations reflect longstanding Russia bashing – solely for its sovereign independence and opposition to Washington’s imperial agenda.
They continue endlessly, regurgitated by media scoundrels. Most Americans brainwashed by disinformation believe what they should dismiss as utter rubbish.
It’s further proof they’re the most over-entertained, uninformed people on the planet.
In a June 1950 commencement address, Boston University President Daniel Marsh said “(i)f the (television) craze continues (when it was in its infancy), we are destined to have a nation of morons.”
Public ignorance and indifference permit abuses of power to continue unaddressed.
With apologies to the enlightened minority, a nation of morons indeed lets America get with murder and other high crimes unaccountably – domestically and abroad.
Washington’s imperial agenda represents humanity’s greatest threat – what media scoundrels should explain instead of ignoring it.
