Headlines Over Trump’s Border Wall Dispute, Silence on Endless US Wars

Building or not building Trump’s harebrained wall will have no effect on the nation’s domestic or geopolitical policies - what’s most important left unaddressed.
Endless US wars of aggression threaten world peace and life on earth if pushed too far, the way things are heading. Confrontation with Russia, China, and/or Iran looms as ominous possibilities, the threat of nuclear war able to kill us all.
US media ignore humanity’s greatest threat. They’re silent about Washington’s rage to colonize and control planet earth, wanting sovereign governments replaced by pro-Western puppet rule, naked aggression the favored strategy of Republicans and undemocratic Dems, world peace and stability considered abhorrent notions.
In the greater scheme of things - to build or not to build a wall along America’s southern border with Mexico is a non-issue. It’ll have little effect on refugees and asylum seekers wanting safe haven in the US.
They’ll come through, under, or around Trump’s wall if built. The issue isn’t a wall. It’s America’s imperial/neoliberal agenda, its governance of, by, and for the privileged few alone, it’s wanting ordinary people exploited everywhere, it’s supporting the world’s most ruthless tinpot despots, terrorizing people worldwide, many fleeing for their lives and welfare.
Most of all, it’s America’s endless war agenda, responsible for the severest refugee crisis since WW II, forcing countless millions to flee for safe haven wherever they can find it.
If billions of dollars for a border wall and countless trillions of dollars for militarism and warmaking went for rebuilding America and serving all its people equitably, the nation and world would be far safer and more fit to live in - unlike today, threatened with possible armageddon because of Washington’s rage for global hegemony.
Trump’s latest Twitter storm threatened closure of America’s souther border if Congress doesn’t approve funding for his wall - no one should support.
Does he intend deploying half a dozen or more army and marine divisions to guard the near-2,000 mile southern border with Mexico - from the Pacific Ocean to the southern tip of Texas?
He blasted Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, threatening to cut aid to the latter three countries, entirely for military purposes to terrorize and exploit their people, forcing many to flee for their lives, safety and welfare.
He accused Mexico of making lots of money on trade with the US. Corporate predators in both countries benefit at the expense of their ordinary people.
At the same time, partial US government shutdown begun on December 22 remains unresolved in its 8th day.
On Thursday, House and Senate members held pro-forma sessions, ending as quickly as begun, accomplishing nothing before Congress adjourns sine die.
Shutdown is virtually certain to continue until the new Congress convenes on January 3 and addresses it - Dems controlling the House with a stronger hand to play.
A pox on both extremist right wings of the nation’s one-party state, each blaming the other for what’s going on instead of sharing blame.
Media scoundrels are largely one-sided on Trump. Ignoring the deplorable undemocratic Dems’ domestic and geopolitical agenda, NYT editors blamed Trump alone for “holding the nation hostage over funding for his border wall.”
On virtually all issues in Washington, blame is bipartisan. So is the nation’s criminal class.
They’re complicit against world peace, equity and justice during the holiday season and all other times of year.
