Anti-Government Forces in Syria Increasing

Endless US aggression to replace Assad with pro-Western puppet rule is similar to its forever war against the Taliban in Afghanistan - no prospect of either conflict ending any time soon.
They could continue for many more years. According to chief of Russia’s General Staff and First Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Valery Gerasimov, numbers of militants involved in combating Syrian forces are increasing, not diminishing.
He referred to US and Turkey’s illegal presence in the country, along with terrorist foot soldiers they’re supporting - receiving weapons, financing and other material support from abroad, he stressed.
Before Russia intervened in Syria at the behest of its government in September 2015 to help combat US-supported terrorists, “the country had been waging an undeclared war for its right for existence,” Gerasimov explained, adding:
“We can’t say when exactly these internal disturbances overgrew into a war.”
With considerable US-led foreign support, ISIS and other terrorists waged war on Syria and its people since March 2011, the conflict now in its 8th year.
US-led terror-bombing began in September 2014, continuing daily, massacring civilians, destroying vital infrastructure, notably during months of raping Raqqa, turning the city into a moonscape, countless thousands of corpses left uncounted under rubble.
Weeks earlier, Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said US and allied special forces turned northern and southern parts of Syria into a safe haven for terrorists - training new recruits at illegally constructed military bases.
Nearly fully liberated East Ghouta is offset by Washington’s rage for endless war and regime change, turning Syria’s conflict into a forever war.
According to Sputnik News, Russia’s tough warning prevented US terror-bombing of Syrian forces near the country’s border with Iraq.
It looks “unlikely for now,” according to unnamed informed military sources.
Days earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said “(w)e’ve warned and warned the US that these plans must be unconditionally refused. Any such unlawful use of force, similar to what happened almost a year ago at the Shairat air base, would be an act of aggression against a sovereign state.”
On March 13, Moscow vowed to retaliate against Washington if its military operations in Syria “threat the lives of” its personnel in the country.
For now at least, the Pentagon backed off from its intended attack, including from warships in the Mediterranean.
Dodging this bullet won’t likely deter future ones fired in US-led endless war of aggression on sovereign Syria.
