Saudi Dr. Death Reportedly Used Bone Saw to Dismember Khashoggi

Saudi forensic pathologist, Dr. Salah al-Tubaigy, nicknamed Dr. Death, specializing in autopsies, reportedly carved up Khashoggi while alive in minutes – while he and other Riyadh’s hit squad members listened to music to block out his screams.

Khashoggi’s dismembered body parts were then reportedly wrapped for disposal at a location so far not known.

At least nine of the 15-member hit squad dispatched by crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) were members of the kingdom’s security services, its military, and government ministries, along with Dr. Death.

Below is the official Saudi prosecutor’s statement about what happened, saying:

“Preliminary investigations carried out by the Public Prosecution into the disappearance case of the citizen Jamal bin Ahmad Khashoggi revealed that the discussions that took place between him and the persons who met him during his attendance in the Kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul led to a quarrel and a brawl with the citizen/Jamal Khashoggi, resulted in his death,” adding:

T”he Public Prosecutor confirms that its investigations into this case are continuing with the (18) individuals who are all Saudi nationals in preparation for reaching all the facts and declaring them and to hold all those involved in this case accountable and bringing them to justice.”

UN special rapporteur on extra-judicial killings Agnes Callamard debunked the above explanation as “not plausible,” adding:

“No government should accept it or the pretense at investigation. We need a trustworthy, impartial and transparent investigation to identify the killers and the mastermind.”

Khashoggi’s Washington Post editor Karen Attiah called Riyadh’s explanation “insulting.” Others called it absurd, clearly smacking of coverup, attempting to shift blame to others for what had to have been ordered by the highest regime de facto authority – MBS.

For over two weeks, Riyadh insisted Khashoggi left its Istanbul consulate alive unharmed, clearly a bald-faced lie well before its way too late admission.

Turkey claims to have incriminating audio and other evidence of what happened to Khashoggi. It remains to be seen what it intends to reveal publicly.

Middle East Eye (MEE) cited sources close to President Erdogan, saying he’s determined to reveal all relevant information about the murder.

According to ruling Turkish AKP spokesman Omer Celik, “Turkey will reveal whatever had happened. Nobody should ever doubt about it.”

According to an unnamed high-level Turkish source cited by MEE, Ankara rejects Riyadh’s explanation about what happened – officials close to Erdogan demanding extradition of the 15-member Saudi hit squad, including security service personnel and Dr. Death.

MBS may arrest and do away with them to prevent any of the team members going public on what happened.

If Khashoggi’s body parts are uncovered, an autopsy could determine how he was mistreated before dismemberment.

Other than MBS, the most prominent Saudis linked to the murder are deputy intelligence chief General Ahmed al-Assiri and the crown prince’s top aide, Saoud al-Qahtani, both reportedly sacked.

Last year, Qahtani said the following: “Do you think I make decisions without guidance? I am an employee and a faithful executor of the orders of my lord the king and my lord the faithful crown prince.”

The same surely goes for others close to king Salman and MBS. Responsibility lies with them for kingdom policies. As de facto ruler, the crown prince is most culpable for crimes of state, including support for ISIS and other terrorists, along with kingdom alliance with US wars of aggression – in Syria, Yemen, and elsewhere.
