Will Russia Challenge US-Led Aggression in Syria?
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
Trump regime hardliners are hellbent for escalated war and regime change in Syria – going all-out to prevent conflict resolution, a notion they abhor in all US war theaters.
Republicans and undemocratic Dems are addicted to wars of aggression. Peace and stability are considered unpatriotic.
No enemies exist so they’re invented to maintain a permanent state of war, waging them endlessly, today in multiple theaters, new adversaries invented for future wars.
Today’s super-weapons make the unthinkable possible – the threat of catastrophic nuclear war by accident or design.
Creator of America’s nuclear navy Admiral Hyman Rickover later regretted his involvement, telling Congress in 1982 he wasn’t proud of what he did, saying if he had his way, he’d “sink” all nuclear-powered ships, adding:
“…I am a great exponent of stopping this whole nonsense of war,” admitting earlier attempts always failed.
The danger he feared most was “when a war starts, every nation (waging then) ultimately use(s) whatever weapon(s) it has” in its arsenal to win, including nuclear ones eventually.
“I think the human race is going to wreck itself, and it is important that we get control of this horrible force and try to eliminate it,” he stressed.
America’s rage for war threatens everyone. Separate articles explained a likely US/UK pre-planned CW false flag incident in Idlib province likely coming – like earlier ones to be wrongfully blamed on Damascus, followed by US, UK, French terror-bombing of Syrian sites, much like what happened in April.
Syrian air defenses are on high alert for the impending attack. According to RT, Russia “dispatched the largest number of naval vessels into Syrian waters since the beginning of its intervention” in the conflict against US-supported terrorists nearly three years ago.
At least a dozen Russian ships are in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf, including two submarines – armed with long-range missiles.
According to AMN News, up to 17 Russian naval vessels are in Syrian waters ahead of a likely US/UK orchestrated CW false flag, followed by US-led terror-bombing of Syrian sites.
Escalated war seems likely. US-dominated NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu ludicrously urged Russia to show restraint.
She ignored the Trump regime’s likely intent to escalate war more than already – complicit with Britain, France, and their regional partners.
Russia is the only world power going all-out for conflict resolution, obstructed by Washington’s rage for endless war and regime change – pretending to oppose the scourge of ISIS it supports, along with other terrorist groups.
Russia an Syria have clear evidence of an impending Idlib CW false flag incident to be wrongfully blamed on Damascus.
The Trump regime’s denial rang hollow. Idlib is the last major stronghold of US-supported terrorists in Syria. Sergey Lavrov stressed the importance of “liquidat(ing)” this “abscess.”
Will Putin challenge Washington’s regional imperial scourge? Will he stop pretending conflict resolution is possible by dealing with the Trump regime and its imperial allies diplomatically?
The only language the US understands is force. As long as Russia maintains the myth of partnership with Washington instead of giving it a taste of its own medicine to say enough is enough, conflict will likely continue raging endlessly.
