Possible Putin/Trump Summit? Hold the Cheers!

Putin and Trump met twice face-to-face - in Hamburg, Germany at the G20 summit and Danang, Vietnam. They’ve spoken several times by phone.
No formal summit was held so far. Does it matter if one is scheduled in Washington, Moscow, or somewhere else?
Putin keeps geopolitical promises made. Washington can never be trusted under Republican or undemocratic Dem leadership.
Trump is like all the rest, a front man for powerful interests, saying one thing, most often doing something entirely different domestically and geopolitically.
Dark forces run America. Presidents, key congressional members, and federal courts serve their interests exclusively at the expense of popular ones and world peace - the latter an anathema notion conflicting with America’s longstanding permanent war agenda.
Washington targets all sovereign independent countries for regime change, wanting them transformed into subservient vassal states, their resources looted, their people exploited - notably Russia, China and Iran, the only nations standing in the way of it’s long-sought unchallenged global dominance objective.
US hostility toward Russia is at a fever pitch, bilateral relations worse than during the height of the Cold War.
Despite good faith Kremlin efforts to improve things, US hostility is unrelenting. Bipartisan neocons infesting Washington intend keeping things this way.
Nothing significantly positive happened between both countries since the Reagan/Gorbachev era in the 1980s - nothing in prospect ahead, reflecting Trump’s weakness, not strength, not an ability to change things for the better.
Obama’s brief reset with Moscow was head-fake deception. No meaningful US outreach followed. Bilateral relations are worse than ever since Trump took office.
Despite calling for improving things while campaigning, he appointed Russophobic extremists to high regime positions - notably John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, both figures militantly hostile to Moscow and Vladimir Putin.
The same goes for most congressional members. Media scoundrels relentlessly bash Russia, inventing things to criticize.
Along with bipartisan Russophobic US officials, major US media falsely accused the Kremlin of meddling in America’s electoral process, (nonexistent) “aggression” in Ukraine, and various incidents it had nothing to do with.
Since the Obama regime’s February 2014 coup d’etat in Ukraine, replacing democratic governance with fascist dictatorship, Washington imposed numerous illegal sanctions on Russia.
It’s gone all-out to marginalize, weaken, contain and isolate the country politically and economically, a failed strategy, yet it continues unabated.
US summit meetings with Putin and other key world leaders won’t change a thing. True enough it’s better to meet and talk than saber-rattle, risking possible military confrontation.
In early May, the New Yorker headlined “Donald Trump’s Pursuit of an Oval Office Meeting with Vladimir Putin,” saying:
An overture to the Kremlin was made when Trump phoned Putin after his reelection triumph in March - later confirmed by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders,” saying:
“(T)he two had discussed a bilateral meeting in the ‘not-too-distant future’ at a number of potential venues, including the White House.”
According to an unnamed senior regime official, “National Security Council officials (were) instructed by Trump to call the Russian Embassy in Washington and make clear that Trump personally wanted the Putin meeting to happen…despite little enthusiasm on his team.”
Sergey Lavrov said “considering that President Trump made this proposal, we proceed from the position that he will make it concrete.”
Before his appointment as national security advisor, John Bolton said Trump “ought to strengthen sanctions, reassure NATO allies…and then have coffee with Vlad,” adding: “Negotiate only from positions of strength.”
On June 1, the Wall Street Journal headlined “US in Early Talks for Potential Summit Between Trump and Putin,” saying:
“The White House is planning for a potential summit between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin of Russia…”
US ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman is involved in “getting a formal meeting between Putin and Trump” arranged.
It should have been held last year. Yet formally meeting won’t change longstanding US hostility toward Moscow and Putin.
Washington considers Russia its top mortal enemy. US regimes don’t negotiate. They demand, using NATO as an instrument of belligerent imperial policy.
The US diabolically pursues what’s harmful to most people at home and abroad - including endless wars of aggression, financial wars, currency wars, sanctions wars, bloody coups, color revolutions, political assassinations and other tactics in pursuit of its objectives.
Russian sovereign independence is an obstacle to US global hegemony. One or more Putin/Trump summits won’t change a thing - the harsh reality of Washington’s imperial goals.
