NYT Video Disinformation on Russia

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

The NYT is a mouthpiece for the imperial state, Wall Street, and other corporate interests.

Indifferent to democratic values and rule of law principles, it long ago abandoned journalism the way it’s supposed to be.

Its editors feed readers a daily diet of disinformation, Big Lies and fake news, especially on geopolitical issues, one-sided support for Israel, and anything about Russia.

The self-styled newspaper of record consistently serves special interests exclusively, reporting what they want published, suppressing what’s vital for everyone to know – allied with dark forces running America, hostile to peace, equity and justice for everyone everywhere.

Militantly hostile to Russia for its sovereign independence, opposition to US imperial wars, and support for multi-world polarity, the Times invents reasons to vilify the country and Vladimir Putin personally.

It produced a three-part disinformation video series on the Russian Federation, titled “Operation Infektion” – repeating long ago discredited canards about the country.

Claiming “Russia’s meddling in the United States’ elections is not a hoax” is a colossal Big Lie. Not a shred of evidence suggests Russia or any other countries interfere in America’s political process.

Political meddling is longstanding US policy, illegally interfering in scores of foreign elections post-WW II, including against Russia – opposing democratic governance and sovereign independence, wanting pro-Western puppet rule installed in all countries worldwide.

When accusations lack credible evidence supporting them, they’re groundless – the cold hard reality about phony claims of Russian meddling.

The Times is the leading media offender, supporting the official falsified US intelligence community narrative about  Russian US election interference that never happened – claims never backed with facts because none exist.

Yet the Times repeats state-sponsored Big Lies, falsely claiming the Kremlin targets the West with managed news disinformation – turning truth on its head, saying it’s the “culmination of Moscow’s decades-long campaign to tear the West apart.”

“Moscow’s decades-long campaign,” notably since the Gorbachev era, sought cooperative relations with the West.

During the dismal Yeltsin years, Moscow subordinated Russian sovereignty to Washington. Under Putin it was reasserted, while seeking integration with the West to a fault, putting up with US abuse instead of challenging it strongly, short of going to war.

The Times claims about “American truth squads…fight(ing) a Russian “virus…KGB spies who invented fake news (a US/Western media speciality), and a Russian “worldwide war on truth” are utter rubbish.

The claims reflect how the Times and other US-led Western media operate, scheming along with their governments for over a century against Soviet Russia, then the Russian Federation – along with all other sovereign independent states, wanting them subservient to US interests, war the favored US-dominated NATO strategy in pursuing the alliance’s diabolical aims.

“Americans are using Russia’s playbook against one another without the faintest clue,” the Times roared.

Americans largely believe the rubbish fed them by major media fake news, especially television, a travesty of what real journalism is all about – entirely absent on cable and broadcast channels.

The Times and other print media operate the same way, publishing outrageous accusations about Russia and other nations the US targets for regime change.

Truth backing them is absent – most Americans unaware of how they repeatedly duped, major media the main offenders for sticking to the falsified official narrative.
