Nikki Haley to Hold Friendship Party in Jerusalem

Dozens of America’s “best friends” were invited - 65 nations pressured, bullied, threatened or bribed to vote “no” on the UN resolution against Trump’s Jerusalem declaration, abstain or fail to show up on Thursday.
Their failure to denounce Trump’s declaration was cowardly, showing contempt for fundamental Palestinian rights and international law.
On Thursday, the UN General Assembly resolution was adopted by a 128 to 9 majority - America, Israel, Guatemala, Honduras, Togo, and four virtually US colonized Pacific island states alone rejecting it.
America aside, no Western EU nations opposed the declaration. Nor did Brazil, China, India, Japan, Russia, South Korea, and the Islamic world.
As explained in a previous article, 8 of the 10 largest recipients of US aid rejected Trump’s Jerusalem declaration - Afghanistan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Jordan, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa and Tanzania.
Majority General Assembly members stressed that Jerusalem “is a final status issue to be resolved through negotiations in line with relevant UN resolutions.”
The GA resolution was similar to a Security Council one - supported by 14 of its 15 members, America the sole outlier, its contemptible veto preventing adoption.
GA resolutions are non-binding - but are politically significant, especially on prominent issues.
Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace process, Nickolay Mladenov, explained tensions and violence in Occupied Palestine escalated following Trump’s announcement - Israeli state terror against Palestinian protesters ongoing for 17 consecutive days.
Haley’s invitation to 65 nations failing to condemn Trump’s declaration rubs salt in an open wound.
Her invitation came by email, a formal one to follow, the event to be held on January 3. It’s unknown how many will show up. Nations coming will compound their shame.
No Western EU nations are coming, nor most other major UN member states.
Ones accepting Haley’s invitation will comprise an assemblage of rogues, cowards, coerced, intimidated and/or bribed countries.
Washington doesn’t have friends. It has interests. It demands subservience from all nations. Independent ones are considered adversaries or enemies, targeted for regime change - notably Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Venezuela, among others.
America is a pariah state, transformed into one by its deplorable actions, mocking democratic values, committing grievous human and civil rights abuses worldwide, waging war on humanity, threatening its survival.
Haley’s Jerusalem event will be heavy on theater and deceit, an exercise in reveling over flaunting the rule of law.
Nations wanting to retain any sense of decency will refuse to show up. Don’t count on many declining Haley’s demand, masquerading as an invitation.
