The Mitt Romney Pot Calls the Trump Kettle Black

A pox on them both and the vast majority of others in Washington like them!
They’re polar opposite paragons of virtue, squarely against peace, equity and justice, their agenda what makes America a pariah state.
As a 2012 presidential aspirant, Romney called himself an “ideal” Tea Party candidate, supporting endless wars of aggression, tax cuts for the rich, inherently unfair free market capitalism, eliminating regulations to let business operate unrestrained, and constitutionally limited government, among other extremist policies.
In 1984, he and B & C principals co-founded Bain Capital (BC), a vulture capital firm, profiteering by leveraged buyouts and asset-stripping companies.
The process bankrupts them, leaving thousands of workers unemployed. Romney and his partners made millions of dollars by immiserating countless numbers of people, profiting at their expense.
Campaigning in 2012, he said he liked “being able to fire people,” separately turning truth on its head, claiming “(s)ometimes the medicine is a little bitter, but it is necessary…to try and make (an) enterprise successful” by dismantling it, the human cost of no consequence.
Romney amassed super-wealth at the expense of thousands of workers losing their livelihoods. His “plan to get America back to work” was by jobs destruction.
He turned truth on its head, claiming “(w)hen America is strong, the world is safer.” He called for “stop(ping) Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons” it abhors and wants eliminated everywhere.
He urged military action against Iran by “blockade or a bombardment or surgical strikes or one kind or another.” He likely feels the same way about all sovereign independent nations.
He lied calling Russia “America’s greatest geopolitical foe,” disgracefully saying it’s a nation “where the desire to be free is met with brutal oppression,” adding “the greatest threat that the world faces is a nuclear Iran, and a nuclear North Korea is already troubling enough.”
“But when these terrible actors pursue their course in the world and we go to the United Nations looking for ways to stop them…who is it that always stands up with the world's worst actors? It’s always Russia, typically with China alongside.”
He shamefully called Bashar al-Assad “Syria’s vicious dictator,” blaming him for US launched aggression on the country, ongoing in its 8th year with no prospect for resolution any time soon.
He never met a US war of aggression he didn’t wholeheartedly endorse. He’s part of the dirty system, now as the junior GOP Utah senator as of January 3 in the 116th Congress.
In a neocon/CIA-connected Washington Post op-ed, he slammed Trump, a case of the pot calling the kettle black, saying he “was not my choice for the Republican presidential nomination,” adding:
“(H)is conduct over the past two years, particularly his actions (last) month, is evidence that the president has not risen to the mantle of the office.”
Under Republicans and undemocratic Dems, “the office” fronts for Washington’s destructive geopolitical and domestic agenda - massacring, exploiting, and otherwise harming ordinary people globally to benefit privileged ones - an agenda Romney supports.
He praised Trump’s tax cuts for business and high-net-worth individuals, benefitting himself and DLT hugely - at the expense of most US households losing out, notably by cuts in social programs to partly pay for it.
He supports undermining China’s aim to be a global economic, industrial, and technological powerhouse.
He laughably said “(a) president should demonstrate the essential qualities of honesty and integrity, and elevate the national discourse with comity and mutual respect” - polar opposite how the US operates, an aggressor and bully on the global stage, contemptuous of the rights of ordinary people everywhere.
The “American spirit” he cited threatens everyone at home and abroad. The “indispensable” nation may destroy life on earth by its rage for global hegemony.
The notion of America’s “enduring commitment to principled conduct in foreign relations, and to the rights of all people to freedom and equal justice” are principles overwhelmingly abhorred on both sides of the aisle.
The scourge of “American leadership” is humanity’s greatest threat. Romney is part of the problem.
So is Trump, along with practically the entire Congress and courts, supporting policies harming most people everywhere.
