US Directs Terrorists to Stage CW Attacks

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Dirty war without mercy is longstanding US policy – rule of law principles ignored, the way Washington always operates globally, a serial lawbreaker throughout its history.

In all its wars of aggression, the US uses chemical, biological, radiological, and other banned weapons – notably against North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and all post-9/11 nations preemptively attacked, despite none posing an external threat.

The laws of war are consistently and repeatedly breached by the US – including the Hague Convention, Fourth Geneva, Nuremberg Principles, and Security Council resolutions.

All of the above are binding international law and constitutional law under the Supremacy Clause (Article 6, Clause 2). US statute laws of war are also repeatedly breached.

Use of banned weapons, terror-bombing, massacring civilians, and destroying non-military related targets constitute longstanding US policy.

Western media ignore Washington’s crimes of war and against humanity instead reporting what everyone has a right to know and demanding accountability.

No US political or military official was ever held to account with teeth in an international or US court.

The 2002-established International Criminal Court (ICC) functions as an imperial tool, ignoring the highest of high crimes committed by Washington, NATO, Israel, and their allies, focusing exclusively on Western enemies.

Its legitimacy was long ago lost for repeatedly breaching its mandate to prosecute individuals for genocide and aggression, as well as crimes or war and against humanity – the most egregious offenders never held accountable.

Endless US wars rage against non-aggressor countries, others likely planned – to be launched at the discretion of Republican and undemocratic Dem policymakers.

Throughout nearly eight years of US waged aggression in Syria, no evidence indicates government forces ever used chemical weapons (CWs).

Indisputable evidence proves ISIS and other US-supported terrorists used them countless times against defenseless civilians – Damascus nearly always wrongfully blamed for what it had nothing to do with.

The US, UK, other NATO countries (including Turkey), the Saudis and Israel are in cahoots against sovereign Syrian independence – supporting and encouraging CW use by terrorists they support, supplying them with banned toxic agents.

In late August, John Bolton warned that if Syrian forces “use(d) chemical weapons, we will respond very strongly and they really ought to think about this a long time.”

Bolton and other Trump regime officials know Damascus eliminated its entire CW arsenal years ago, never using chemical agents throughout the war, no evidence suggesting otherwise.

Most often, Russia fails to push back strongly against hostile US actions, maintaining the fiction of partnership with Washington and the West.

An occasional change of tone is refreshing, far more of the same needed as firm policy. On Friday, Moscow’s OPCW envoy Alexander Shulgin said the following:

“Under a pretext of fighting against terrorism in Syria, the United States has illegally deployed its military contingent in that country,” adding:

“The real goal of the United States’ military presence is to provide a cover for extremist groups acting in Syria, in its own political interests.”

“And these groups are behind provocations with the use of chemical weapons in Khan Shaykhoun and numerous other chemical incidents. So, as a matter of fact, the United States is encouraging chemical terrorism.”

“Non-governmental organizations affiliated with terrorists, such as the White Helmets, that have been caught in staging fake chemical attacks more than once, for instance in Syria’s Douma, are being widely used to create a corresponding information background.”

“We have repeatedly informed both the OPCE Executive Council and the United Nations Security Council about the groundlessness of these allegations and wild guesses.”

The above remarks aren’t startling new revelations – far from it.

In all its war theaters, the US uses ISIS and/or likeminded jihadists as imperial proxies, funding, training, directing, and supplying them with heavy weapons – including Pentagon contractors training them in the use of CWs, illegally used as a weapon of war.

Why haven’t Vladimir Putin, Sergey Lavrov, and other top Russian officials explained what’s going on repeatedly and publicly to the world community!

Why haven’t RT, Sputnik News, and other Russian media reported on it time and again! Why do they call war in Syria “civil” when there’s nothing “civil” about it!

Why don’t they report regular feature stories, discussing US support for jihadists, encouraging and aiding their use CW and other banned weapons, explaining all US wars are waged preemptively and aggressively against nonbelligerent countries!

Shulgin forthrightly said the US ignores Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) provisions “that do not fit (its) interests,” explaining:

When ratifying the CWC, “the US Congress made 28 reservations to make it possible to circumvent its provisions, in particular, to prohibit to take any chemical samples collected in the US outside the country; to impose restrictions on OPCW inspections in the US aiming to expose prohibited activities under a request from any other signatory nation; to use chemical agents to suppress riots, etc.”

“The United States is practically the only country to keep in place the reservation to the 1925 Geneva Protocol providing for a possible retaliatory use of chemical weapons.”

Washington’s permanent war agenda illegally permits anything goes. Its flagrant abuse of power is suppressed in the mainstream.

Major Western media support what demands exposure and condemnation.

America and its partners get away with mass slaughter and destruction time and again because the world community and supportive major media do nothing to demand accountability.

Most Americans are mindless of the high crimes committed by US ruling regimes in their names with their tax dollars – while vital homeland needs go begging.

If Washington’s imperial agenda continues to go unchallenged, its permanent war policy may doom us all.
