US Cyber Command Aims to Prevent Nonexistent Russian US Election Meddling

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

November 6 US midterm elections are less than two weeks away. Claims about Russian meddling in them are fabricated.

Not a shred of evidence proves it, nor about interference by any nations in upcoming or past US elections - a longstanding US specialty, wanting undemocratic regimes submissive to its interests installed everywhere.

Sovereign independent governments are targeted for elimination, naked aggression Washington’s favorite strategy.

Endless US wars rage in multiple theaters, what its imperial agenda is all about, peace and stability anathema to its interests.

Months earlier, Pentagon spokesperson Dana White said “(t)he cyber domain will define the next century of warfare” - why US Cybercom was created in 2009 to wage it digitally, along with militarily, politically, economically, financially, and through propaganda.

Cybercom is one of 10 permanent Pentagon “combatant commands,” a proposed Antarctica Command will be another when established.

According to White, Cybercom “will play a critical role in training the military’s cyber warriors, advocating for more cybersecurity resources, and planning and conducting cyber operations.”

A roadmap was drawn up, outlining a “new approach” to digital warfare, aiming to maintain US cyber superiority over Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and other US adversaries.

As America’s midterms approach, US Cyber Command warned so-called “Russian operatives” against nonexistent meddling attempts - claiming the US “identified them.”

It’s “tracking their work.” Sanctions may be imposed to deter whoever they are - unrelated to Russia’s government and attempts to meddle in America’s electoral process that don’t exist.

No evidence suggests Russia meddled in America’s political process or intends to. Claims otherwise were fabricated since first made, part of longstanding Russia bashing.

Last Friday, the Justice Department falsely claimed Russian nationals close to Putin are waging “information warfare” to disrupt US November midterms - no evidence cited like always when Moscow is accused of anything.

No Russian or other foreign threats to America’s electoral process exist. The Big Lie claiming otherwise persists - unnamed US officials falsely saying Moscow aims to sow dissent t polarize the major political parties ahead of 2020 presidential, congressional, and local elections.

John Bolton in Moscow reportedly warned Russian officials against US election interference that doesn’t exist.

Republicans and undemocratic Dems are likely to blame Russia if midterm results don’t turn out in their favor.

One-party rule with two extremist right wings run America. Elections when held are farcical, always turning out the same way.

Dirty business as usual always wins. No amount of foreign interference if occurred could change things. America’s money-controlled system is too debauched to fix.
