China Bashing

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

China and America are world’s apart on major issues.

The US prioritizes militarism and warmaking, along with pressuring, bullying and bribing other nations to bend to its will.

China focuses heavily economic growth domestically and through foreign markets, taking advantage of its increasing technological expertise in numerous industrial, high-tech and other sectors.

The nation is an economic powerhouse already matching America on a purchase price basis - heading toward becoming the world’s dominant economic power ahead.

America and China are more rivals than partners. The US seeks dominance over all parts of the world not its own, naked aggression its most favored strategy.

China is proudly sovereign and independent, not about to roll over or be co-opted by Washington, strong enough politically, economically and militarily to protect its vital interests.

Like Russia, it supports world peace and stability, mutual cooperation among all nations, and multi-world polarity - an agenda polar opposite warmongers in charge of Washington’s geopolitical agenda, seeking global dominance by brute force, humanity threatened by its ruthlessness.

Neocon extremist Michael Morell formerly served as deputy and acting CIA director. Militantly Russophobic, he earlier lied, claiming “Russia is conducting a pervasive campaign to weaken our democracy and influence this year’s midterm elections.”

No US democracy exists to weaken. Morell slammed Vladimir Putin personally, saying there’s “no doubt that (his) political assault on the United States continues unabated” - a bald-faced lie!

In a Monday neocon/CIA house organ Washington Post op-ed, he claimed an “urgency” to protect “the country…from terrorism” Washington created, supports, and uses against nations it targets for regime change.

He lied claiming “extremist terrorists have repeatedly attempted to attack the US homeland” - one of many scare tactics used to unjustifiably justify Washington’s global war OF terror, not on it.

He lied saying “the United States faces staggering global security challenges” - only invented ones to wage endless wars of aggression against nations targeted for regime change, governments threatening no one.

He lied claiming Russia “attempts to weaken us at home and abroad.”

He lied about “Iran’s (nonexistent) military adventurism and (nonexistent) support for terrorism, and North Korea’s (nonexistent) continuing nuclear threat,” adding:

“But the most formidable challenge, perhaps the most daunting the United States has faced since World War II, is how to respond to the rise of China.”

No nation anywhere threatens the US - not China, Russia, Iran, North Korea or any others. America’s rage for endless wars of aggression threatens humanity.

Morell: “…China is seeking to become the most powerful and influential country in the world.”

What Morell and likeminded extremists fear is America losing global influence and dominance to rising powers like China.

It’s heading toward becoming the world’s leading economy. Russia already is the dominant global military power. Its super-weapons and technological military superiority exceeds America’s best, a reality not going down well in Washington and at the Pentagon.

Unlike the US, China’s growing military capabilities are for defense, not offense - needed because of the threat posed by Washington wanting dominance over all parts of the world not its own.

According to Morell, America needs a strategy to “deal with the rise of a new global power.” He and likeminded extremists reject cooperating with other nations instead of bullying or combatting them.

China already is too powerful politically, economically and militarily to contain, he lamented - at the same time urging the US play “hardball” with Beijing, a losing strategy, he and likeminded extremists fail to grasp.

China, Russia and other nations are rising, America declining - its rage for dominance at the expense of world peace losing influence, not gaining it.

A previous article said the cutting-edge issue of our time is whether humanity can survive America’s rage for global dominance while failing to acknowledge its declining supremacy relative to other nations.

Today’s reality is the same dynamic dooming all other empires in history - a nation in decline because of its imperial arrogance, hubris, waging endless wars against invented enemies, and its unwillingness to change.

America hasn’t won a war against an adversary since WW II. Yet post-9/11, it wages them endlessly in multiple theaters - at the expense of vital homeland needs gone begging, including social justice on the chopping block for elimination.

America’s rage for dominance ignores its declining strength. Will its aim for regime change in nations matching or exceeding its military might destroy planet earth it seeks to own?
