UK’s Boris Johnson Compared Putin to Hitler

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

A responsible UK prime minister would sack him. Theresa May is just as bad.

Britain is infested with neocons like America and most other Western countries.

They’re part of US-dominated NATO’s killing machine, waging war on humanity, running neoliberal police states masquerading as democratic.

An earlier article called Johnson Britain’s Nikki Haley - both holding prominent positions, neither qualified for any public posts, let alone key ones.

Both rage uncontrollably, making fools of themselves before their brains engage. They’re serial liars, rejecting truth-telling, a notion they find abhorrent.

Their extremist ideology should scare everyone. Since the March 4 Skripal incident, lead UK Russophobe Johnson made outrageous accusations against Moscow, not a shred of evidence backing them because none exist.

In his latest tirade before parliament’s foreign affairs committee, he compared Putin to Hitler, saying Russia’s leader will use this year’s FIFA World Cup in the country like the fuhrer turned the 1936 summer Olympics into a Nazi propaganda spectacle, calling what he expects an “emetic prospect” - something inducing vomiting, disgraceful remarks.

He advised British fans to stay away for their safety. His remarks came at a time Russian/UK relations are their lowest in modern times, responsibility entirely London’s, orchestrating things this way, risking something much more serious.

Asked why Britain’s team is competing in Russia, he called it wrong to punish their players. Days earlier, he turned truth on its head, accusing Putin of ordering Skripal’s poisoning.

“No one can escape the long arm of Russian revenge,” he told parliamentarians, adding:

A Novichok nerve agent (Moscow never developed and doesn’t have) was used “to put a Russian signature on the deed and by using a specific type of nerve agent developed in the Soviet Union, in Russia.”

“It was a sign that no former Russian agent was immune” - Johnson continuing his Russophobic dissembling tirade.

No one with any sense in Britain or elsewhere believes anything he says is credible.

He transformed himself into a laughing stock, a loose cannon, ready to explode about anything at anyone.

Britain timed the Skripal incident to occur ahead of Russia’s presidential election, hoping to discourage turnout so Putin would achieve a less impressive victory - also ahead of this year’s World Cup to taint Russia as a host country.

The scheme backfired, helping Putin achieve the most impressive triumph since first elected Russia’s president. World Cup participation won’t likely be adversely affected either.

Johnson sounded harebrained, saying “as many non-democratic figures do when facing an election or facing some critical political moment, it is often attractive to conjure up in the public imagination the notion of an enemy.”

The Skripal incident “conjuring” came from London and likely Washington, not Moscow.

Johnson’s other remarks to foreign affairs committee members were just as offensive, insolent and scurrilous.

He’s supremely undiplomatic, unqualified to negotiate with any other nations.

The world community should declare him persona non grata, demanding Britain chose another official as their top diplomat.
