Trump a Russian Agent or Asset?

Washington’s silly season is sinister, ongoing year-round, drawing blood, taking no prisoners.

Trump is the prime domestic target for undemocratic Dems and major media for triumphing over Hillary, winning when he was supposed to lose.

He’s largely criticized for the wrong reasons, his highest of high crimes ignored because they have bipartisan support, notably endless US wars of aggression against invented enemies and serving powerful monied interests, what presidents, Congress and the courts are installed to do. 

Russia is the main geopolitical target - for its sovereign independence, opposing US aggression, supporting multi-world polarity, and preventing Washington from gaining another imperial trophy in Syria, among other reasons unrelated to any national security threat.

Most everything reported by major US media on domestic and geopolitical issues is managed news misinformation and disinformation, daily Big Lies and fake news on issues mattering most. 

A feature NYT story is another example - headlined “FBI Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia.”

It’s hard imagining anyone believing a US president would wittingly or unwittingly work for a foreign power against his own country. 

If a Hollywood script writer proposed the story line, he or she would likely be laughed out of a producer’s office. Even the 1962 Manchurian Candidate Cold War thriller didn’t go this far. 

But there you have it, from the self-styled newspaper of record, with greater global reach than any other member of the world’s fourth estate - reporting on an issue it should have debunked, pretending the article was real news and information, saying:

There’s concern about a possible sinister Trump/Russia connection because of his “behavior.” Is he “working on behalf of Russia against American interests?” 

An FBI probe wanted to find out what was clear without investigating. “The inquiry (had) explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators…considered whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security.” 

“Agents (aimed) to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.”

“Agents and senior FBI officials had grown suspicious of Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia during the 2016 campaign but held off on opening an investigation into him…” 

Special counsel Mueller’s Russiagate witch hunt continued what the FBI began - because Trump wanted, and likely still wants, improved US/Russia ties. He praised Vladimir Putin, laudable actions, not subversive ones.

The DNI, DHS, House and Senate probes, along with Mueller found no evidence of Russian US election meddling, nothing about an improper or illegal Trump/Russia connection - nothing warranting the continuation of what never should have been initiated in the first place.

Instead of responsibly debunking the Russiagate witch hunt, the Times and other US major media are complicit in what’s going on, with no end of it in prospect as long as Trump remains in office - instead of focusing solely on his policies warranting harsh criticism and much more.

Ahead of the 2016 presidential election, anti-Trump rhetoric portrayed him as a Manchurian candidate for Russia - for wanting improved relations. 

Along with his anti-NATO hyperbole and rhetorical opposition to the stealth corporate coup d’etat Trans-Pacific Partnership, aiming to rewrite international rules on trade to serve business interests more exclusively than already, supporting improved US/Russia ties should have been widely welcomed, not criticized.

The NYT is part of an anti-Trump  cabal for the wrong reasons, suggesting a foreign power may control him, saying he may have fired FBI director James Comey in May 2017 “to impede or even end the Russia investigation” - despite no evidence proving it.

If Trump obstructed justice, an impeachable offense, dark forces opposing him would have nailed him long ago, using this issue to oust him from office.

Failure to charge him after endless probes since January 2017 shows no damning evidence against him exists - relating to an improper or illegal Russia connection.

Even the Times had to admit “(n)o evidence has emerged publicly that Mr. Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian government officials.”

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, discredited for anti-Trump bias - over exchanging text messages with Mueller’s deputy assistant director Peter Strzok, her paramour, favoring Hillary over Trump, lied during congressional testimony, saying:

“In the Russian Federation and in President Putin himself, you have an individual whose aim is to disrupt the Western alliance, and whose aim is to make Western democracy more fractious in order to weaken our ability, America’s ability, and the West’s ability to spread our democratic ideals.”

The above remarks are fabricated and shameful. So far, Mueller charged 37 people, mostly Russians, in connection to his probe - despite no evidence indicating anyone was involved in US election meddling nor an improper or illegal tie to Trump.

Claims otherwise were and remain bald-faced lies. Accusations without evidence are groundless.

There’s plenty about Trump to criticize, not acting as a witting or unwitting Russian agent. Earlier I said the following:

Am I a Russian agent for daring to explain hard truths on major domestic and geopolitical issues, for discussing what I can support with facts, for opposing Washington’s destructive imperial agenda, for refusing to go along with the notion that might makes right, for dedicating my efforts to world peace, equity and justice, for sharply criticizing the megalomaniacal US aim to rule the world, largely by endless wars on humanity?

I support ruling authorities for peace, equity and justice. I oppose governments against them, my own the most egregious.
