Trump Regime Separating Unwanted Immigrant Children from Parents

Trump regime hardliners pursue wrong over right with a vengeance - abroad waging wars of aggression and supporting tinpot despotic regimes, at home serving privileged interests at the expense of most others.
Undemocratic Dems do the same things, falsely claiming they’re different. Both wings of America’s one party state are two sides of the same coin.
Trump’s war on unwanted immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers exceeds Obama regime harshness - called the nation’s “Deporter-in-Chief” while in office, enforcing white supremacist policies.
Poor desperate abused arrivals weren’t welcome on his watch, deporting more immigrants than all his predecessors combined.
Before his tenure ends, Trump may exceed his harshness, a leader serving privileged interests exclusively - as ruthlessly against ordinary people as his rage for might over right.
His 10-point immigration plan discussed in an earlier article includes the following:
1. Build a wall along America’s border with Mexico.
2. End “catch and release.” Substitute detain and deport, procedures followed by Bush/Cheney and Obama he wants escalated.
3. Create a deportation task force and focus on criminals in the country illegally, including for offenses too minor to matter like traffic violations and others overstaying their visas.
4. Defund sanctuary cities. Withhold federal funding for areas not in compliance.
5. Replace Obama’s executive actions with his own.
6. Institute greater extreme vetting than already. Block immigration from nations not compliant with Washington’s rules.
7. Force other countries to take back immigrants he wants deported.
8. Get biometric visa tracking system fully in place.
9. Strengthen E-Verify to make it hard or impossible for undocumented immigrants to get work.
10. Limit legal immigration - focusing on wanted ones, minimizing or blocking others coming in America to escape imperial wars, homeland repression, and impoverishment for lack of work.
The worst of Trump’s immigration agenda is separating parents from children arrivals along the US/Mexican border, detaining them under appalling conditions, reportedly wanting young children (mostly under age-12) held under harsh prison conditions on Pentagon military bases.
An ACLU federal lawsuit seeks to unite an asylum-seeking mother with her seven-year-old daughter.
It cites the Constitution’s due process clause - safeguarding against arbitrary denial of life, liberty, or property by the government extrajudicially.
The Fifth and 14th Amendments to the Constitution prohibit governmental deprivations of “life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”
In Ms. L v. ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the ACLU argued that “(h)undreds of families have been ripped apart by this inhumane practice, which is designed to scare other families from seeking refuge in the United States.”
“The ACLU is seeking a nationwide preliminary injunction to reunite all the separated families and end this practice going forward.”
The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) slammed the practice of holding children in “highly inappropriate and even unsafe” confinement, lacking adequate bedding, nutrition and healthcare.
Undemocratic Dem Senator Jeff Merkley accused Trump of locking children as young as four and teenagers in “dog kennel-style cages…with nothing but a space blanket.”
The Obama regime practiced similar policies, Merkley failed to explain. Federal contempt for unwanted immigrants is bipartisan - Dems as vicious as Republicans.
Trump continues what his predecessors began, his immigration policies making the horrendous agenda he inherited worse, notably by separating parents from children arriving through the Mexican border.
Republicans and Dems blame each other for toughness against unwanted immigrants - policies they both enforce.
Proposed Dem legislation to change things is shamefully hypocritical, blaming Trump for an agenda pursued by Obama.
Trump’s “zero tolerance” exacerbates a bad situation, an estimated 2,000 or more families affected since the policy took effect in early May, countless more to come if federal courts don’t stop the practice - an issue perhaps heading for Supreme Court resolution.
Trump regime policy flagrantly violates the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child - America the only nation failing to ratify it.
ACLU researcher Sarah Mehta explained how deplorably children are treated in America, saying:
They’re “funneled out of the schoolroom and into prison for childhood behavior” too minor to matter, adding “(j)uvenile prisons are not centers of rehabilitation” - nor should young children ever have to endure their harshness for any reasons.
America is the only country sentencing children to life in prison without the possibility of parole - destroying lives before barely begun, traumatizing developing minds, leaving permanent scars.
In America, fundamental rights of the child is just a figure of speech, an uncaring nation brutalizing its own along with unwelcome arrivals.
