Russian Support for Trump’s Election Campaign Indisputable?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

The claim by US media, notably neocon/CIA-connected  Washington Post editors is indisputably false!

Cold, hard indisputable facts don’t deter Russia bashers. As long as Trump remains in office, perhaps even after he’s gone, the Big Lie alleging Russian US election interference to help him triumph over media darling Hillary won’t die.

WaPo cited two dubious reports I discussed in previous articles - prepared by a company and organization connected to Western security and military interests, clearly hostile to Russia.

Material in both reports were long on accusations, woefully short on credible evidence backing them because none exists.

That’s the core flaw with virtually everything falsely claimed about Russian US election meddling, notably by Washington’s intelligence community since 2016, including the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

With no evidence backing its claim, it turned truth on its head in January 2017, saying Vladimir Putin personally ordered an “influence campaign” to harm Hillary’s chances, along with aiming to “undermine public faith in the US democratic process.”

In October 2016, DNI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly claimed the US intelligence community was confident (sic) of Russian interference in America’s electoral process - citing no evidence.

Various claims about Russian hacking of DNC and Hillary’s campaign chairman John Podesta were fabricated. No hacking occurred. No evidence suggested it.

Information was leaked by a DNC insider whistleblower to WikiLeaks. There was no hacking, no involvement of Russia in what happened. Claims otherwise were and remain Big Lies.

Russophobic WaPo editors turned truth on its head, falsely claiming “(t)he Kremlin engaged in a coordinated campaign to elevate Donald Trump to the presidency. The Russia operation is staggering in its scale, precision and deceptiveness.”

There was no Russian operation then or now, no Kremlin actions to help Trump defeat Hillary, no campaign of any kind, no interference in America’s political process - not a shred of credible evidence proving otherwise.

Reality doesn’t stop endless Big Lies, virtually certain to continue as long as Trump remains president.

They’re all about delegitimizing him for the wrong reasons, along with endless vilification of the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin personally - because of Russia’s sovereign independence, its opposition to Washington’s imperial agenda, and support for multi-world polarity.

Nations subordinating their sovereignty to Washington’s will are considered valued allies. Others refusing to become US vassal states are vilified - namely, Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and all nations attacked by the US post-WW II, along with numerous others targeted for regime change by color revolutions and old-fashioned coup d’etats.

WaPo is a virtual CIA house organ. Claiming “Russia waged an unprecedented campaign, targeting Americans across all segments of society, on platforms large and small” was malicious rubbish, adding:

“The hack-and-leak operation that led to the release of Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s private emails, orchestrated by the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, was another crucial salvo in a pro-Trump onslaught.”

There was no “hack and leak operation,” nothing by Russian intelligence or any other Kremlin agency to interfere in America’s political process, nothing by Moscow to help Trump defeat Hillary.

Virtually everyone in Washington and media editorial offices familiar with Russiagate knows the claims about Kremlin US election interference were and remain fabricated.

They persist as part of endless Russia bashing - along with numerous other false accusations against its ruling authorities.

That’s what this whole ugly business is all about, vilifying a nation ahead of something likely more sinister planned - the ominous possibility of military confrontation between the world’s dominant nuclear powers, initiated by Washington.

That’s what is most worrisome. The US tolerates no sovereign independent governments, wanting them replaced by pro-Western puppet rule - war its favored strategy.

If waged between nuclear armed nations, armageddon may follow.

Focus on that terrifying possibility, not phony accusations of Russian US election meddling - what never happened.
