Farcical Ceasefire in Syria

Hegemons and their rogue allies don’t respect ceasefires, even after agreeing to them.
Nor do their terrorist foot soldiers. Straightaway following adoption of Security Council Resolution 2401, calling for a 30-day ceasefire, excluding ISIS, al-Nusra and al-Qaeda, they breached it.
According to Russian reconciliation center head General Yuri Yevtushenko, “(d)uring the humanitarian pause, Eastern Ghouta militants of armed groups continued to attack the positions of government forces in the vicinity of the settlements of Khazram and Nawabiya, and after 13:00 they started an offensive on other destinations. These actions were accompanied by intense artillery and small arms fire.”
Mortar fire from their positions on Damascus continues. Terrorists are using foreign-supplied weapons, including rockets, surface-to-air missiles, man-portable air-defense system MANPADS able to down low-flying aircraft and helicopters, TOW anti-tank missiles, tanks and other heavy weapons.
Syrian forces released footage, showing large caches of Israeli-made weapons, captured from ISIS in Deir Ezzor - including rockets, mortars, tank shells, and other munitions left behind in Bukamal and Mayadin.
Earlier, Syrian forces discovered Israeli-made land mines, toxic materials and munitions abandoned by ISIS fighters.
Anti-government terrorists are heavily armed with foreign-made weapons. Ceasefire lets them regroup, rearm and continue fighting.
The ICRC and Syrian Arab Red Crescent said they’re “ready to access the area and deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to the people affected by the hostilities.”
Terrorist shelling prevents them from delivering humanitarian aid. Terrorized residents can’t get out.
Government sources reported progress made in efforts to liberate Eastern Ghouta, even though advances are slow-going.
Intense fighting continues. Jihadists operate from underground tunnels and residential areas.
Citing al-Qaeda linked White Helmet terrorists, Al Jazeera continued its daily disinformation blitzkrieg, blaming Syrian warplanes for high crimes committed by US-supported terrorists.
A source identified only as al-Hamad lied, saying Russia didn’t provide a “trusted third party” to help evacuate injured residents - failing to explain US-supported terrorists hold them hostage as human shields.
Anyone trying to leave risks being lethally shot or wounded. “The truce was supposed to establish ‘safe corridors’ to facilitate evacuation,” said Al Jazeera.
US-supported terrorists intermittently shelling them wasn’t explained - why no one is able to leave so far.
