False Flag Skripal Affair Continues to Boil

Washington and EU countries shamefully support Britain’s phony accusations against Russia - nothing corroborating its disgraceful finger-pointing about the Skripal affair.
Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called UK claims “crazy,” offering the following analogy, saying:
“Just imagine - Moscow city, a car accident. There’s a victim in the car accident. And we see what was the car. The car was a British-made car. Let’s say, a Range Rover.”
“And just imagine, that myself or the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman makes a statement that a man was killed by a British-made car in a car accident in the center of Moscow and highly likely Prime Minister of Great Britain may be responsible for that murder.”
The above scenario is as nonsensical as blaming Russia for an incident in Britain it had nothing to do with.
Sergey Lavrov called it an unacceptable “provocation,” Britain taking “confrontational steps” to destroy bilateral relations with Moscow.
On Thursday, European Council president Donald Tusk tweeted: “EUCO agrees with UK government…(T)here is no other plausible explanation.”
On Friday, an unnamed Brussels official said several EU countries may recall their diplomats from Russia, and/or expel Moscow officials from their nations, adding:
“So far, less than half of EU member countries are ready to assume such measures.”
EU ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer was recalled for consultations following European Council member-states turning truth on its head, saying Kremlin responsibility for the Skripal incident is “highly likely.”
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said further retaliatory measures against Moscow are coming.
Theresa May issued a statement, saying “I welcome the fact that the EU Council has agreed with the United Kingdom Government's assessment that it is highly likely that Russia is responsible for” the Skripal affair, adding:
“The threat that Russia poses respects no borders and it is a threat to our values and it is right that here in the EU Council we are standing together to uphold those values.”
Shameful comments with likely more of them coming - what Sergey Lavrov called “feverishly trying to force (UK) allies to take confrontational steps” against Russia.
On Thursday, Theresa May said UK experts identified the alleged substances involved in the Skripal incident, claiming it’s a Novickok nerve agent - Russia never developed and doesn’t have, irrelevant when disgraceful finger-pointing persists.
In a joint statement, Britain, France and Germany falsely claimed “there is no plausible explanation other than that the Russian state was responsible.”
Moscow categorically rejects false accusations made against its government.
On Wednesday, Russian Defense Ministry’s head of Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Vladimir Yermakov said Britain is either unable to prevent domestic terrorist activities or it staged the Skripal incident Moscow had nothing to do with.
There are no other options, he stressed. A Russian citizen was attacked on UK territory. Its government bears full responsibility for what happened.
Russian chemical and biological protection force General Igor Kirillov said Britain obtained a patent for organophosophorus VX agents production in 1962, adding:
In the 1970s, Western European countries “conducted research into new generation warfare agents. Britain was and still is one of the countries that works on such substances.”
It has considerable scientific expertise in the development and production of these toxins.
Blaming Russia for what it had nothing to do with is part of longstanding hostility toward the country - likely other Russophobic shoes to drop ahead.
