Elliott Abrams: Point Man for Impoverishing, Exploiting and Brutalizing Venezuelans

Abrams is an unindicted war criminal, a despicable figure only a tyrannical regime could love.
His blood-drenched resume is self-explanatory. He’s what underworld bosses call a hit man, a hired gun, an assassin — in his case targeting an entire nation and its people, aiming to deliver another imperial trophy to his Washington bosses.
On Thursday, he addressed the Atlantic Council, a neocon infested think tank. Its board of directors and so-called “experts” include a rogue’s gallery of hawkish extremists, serving the interests of America’s military/industrial/security/media complex.
Discussing Trump regime aims in Venezuela, Abrams recited a litany of bald-faced Big Lies.
He ignored US high crimes, his involvement in US war on Venezuela by other means — imposing illegal sanctions, stealing its resources, aiming to immiserate its people.
He blamed Venezuelan social democracy for US high crimes against the state. He pretended the Trump regime supports democratic rule — what the US deplores at home and abroad, wanting it eliminated wherever it exists.
He lied saying when he “began to work on Latin American affairs almost forty years ago, Venezuela was” democratic.
Beginning in February 1999, Hugo Chavez transformed the country from a longtime fascist dictatorship, oppressing and impoverishing its people, into a model social democracy — what Republicans and undemocratic Dems want destroyed.
Abrams’ job is returning Venezuela to its bad old days, eliminating social democracy, installing repressive puppet rule, stealing its world’s largest oil reserves and other valued resources, exploiting its people as serfs.
“Imagine a Venezuela” where life for its people is normal again, he roared. Imagine the nation free from the scourge of predatory US hands, he failed to explain.
Bolivarian social democracy provided benefits to all its people Americans can’t imagine, what the US under Bush/Cheney, Obama/Biden, and Trump/Pence deplore, wanting peace, equity and justice eliminated everywhere, fascist tyranny replacing it.
In his Thursday address, Abrams presented a mirage, the type society the US denies to its own people, what it wages wars of aggression, stages color revolutions, and orchestrates coups to eliminate where it exists.
The “future” Abrams and likeminded US fascist extremists want imposed on other nations is what just societies deplore. His notion of “liberty” is tyranny.
For him, “prosperity” is greater wealth and power for America’s privileged class at the expense of ruthlessly exploited ordinary people everywhere.
The way to help Venezuelans Abrams and other Trump regime hardliners feign concern about is by no longer stealing the nation’s wealth, returning stolen assets, ending illegal sanctions war — keeping their dirty hands off the country.
All of the above is what the vast majority of Venezuelans want, reviling imposter Guaido, despising Yankee imperialism, supporting Bolivar’s vision.
He believed in the redistributive policies that characterize what Venezuelan social democracy is all about. Chavistas aim to overcome what he called the imperial curse “to plague Latin America with misery in the name of liberty.”
Like Chavez, Maduro uses most of Venezuela’s wealth for people needs, waging peace, not war, seeking cooperative relations with other nations, dominance over none — polar opposite how imperial Washington operates, the scourge Bolivar deplored.
So do all people everywhere for governance of, by, and for everyone equitably, not for its privileged few alone — what fascist tyranny and neoliberal harshness are all about.
It’s the American way. Republicans and undemocratic Dems aim to force feed it on everyone everywhere — through the barrel of a gun if other tactics fail.
Trump, Pompeo, Bolton, Abrams, and their henchmen belong in prison, not high office. What they want imposed on nations makes them unsafe and unfit to live in — America’s deplorable state spread globally, enforced with police state harshness.
A Final Comment
In his address, Abrams falsely blamed Maduro for Trump regime high crimes on Venezuela, claiming he destroyed Chavez’s legacy US hardliners are going all out to eliminate.
Maduro responded to his Big Lies, saying he falsely “pretends to be the defender of Chavez’s legacy. Is it credible?”
“Why do(es) (he) pretend…that Chavez was very good and Maduro is very bad? Where’s that message going? What’s the point? It’s a vulgar maneuver” by a despicable figure, contemptuous of the rights of ordinary people everywhere.
Imperial agent Abrams is going all out to eliminate Venezuelan social democracy Chavez created, pretending to be the “defender of (his) legacy?”
In the 1980s, he “liberated” hundreds of thousands of Central Americans from their lives on the phony pretext of humanitarian intervention.
He’s following a similar script against millions of Venezuelans, imposing toughness, wanting their fundamental rights and welfare destroyed — US-controlled fascist tyranny replacing it.
The same agenda exists at home — wrapped in the American flag.
