US Demands All Other Nations Bow to Its Will

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

Post-WW II, a permanent US war economy was established to pursue unchallenged global dominance, wanting all sovereign independent governments eliminated - replaced by puppet regimes bowing to Washington’s will, a prescription for endless wars of aggression, risking eventual catastrophic nuclear war.

Permanent war shapes geopolitical policymaking in Washington - business allied with the warrior state for maximum profit-making.

Enterprise in America is built on a foundation of endless war-making, imperialism on an unprecedented scale - nothing like it before in world history.

Nothing earlier matched the recklessness and ruthlessness of US pursuit of absolute global rule - supported by major media, most people none the wiser or indifferent about what’s going on.

In his 9/11 1990 address to a joint congressional session, GW Bush announced a “New World Order,” a scheme for pursuing unchallenged US global dominance.

The address came months before launching naked aggression in Iraq, continuing intermittently in the country to today, followed the Balkan wars, culminating in the 1999 rape of Yugoslavia, and endless new millennium wars of aggression against nations threatening no one.

No-peace Israeli/Palestinian peace initiatives, Washington’s global war on terror, and its so-called democracy-building abroad are the greatest hoaxes in modern times.

Each US administration since the Clinton co-presidency exceeded the worst of its predecessors - Trump so far worst of all. Neocon extremists in charge of geopolitical policy-making risk global war.

On Wednesday, the State Department released its annual UN Voting Practices Report - comparing how other nations in the General Assembly vote compared to Washington.

They supported US policies 31% of the time - compared to 41% in 2016. Nikki Haley raged about most nations opposing Washington’s agenda much more often than backing it, saying:

“The American people pay 22 percent of the UN budget - more than the next three highest donor countries combined.”

Assessed and voluntary contributions finance UN operations - based on nations’ gross domestic income, adjustments made for external debt and low per capita income.

In 2016, Washington’s contribution to the UN budget was 22%. Japan, China and Germany were the next largest contributors, financing 24% of UN operations.

America does not contribute more than the next three countries combined, as Haley falsely claimed. She never lets facts interfere with her extremism.

Haley: “In spite of (US) generosity (sic), the rest of the world voted with us” less than one-third of the time.

“(T)his is not an acceptable return on our investment. When we arrived at the UN last year, we said we would be taking names, and this list of voting records speaks for itself.”

“President Trump wants to ensure that our foreign (spending) always serve American interests…”

Virtually all US geopolitical spending goes for advancing its imperium, largely for wars of aggression, Haley failed to explain.

Nations most often supporting Washington’s imperial agenda include Australia, Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Israel, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau and Ukraine.

Those mostly opposed include Burundi, Bolivia, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, South Africa, Syria, Turkmenistan, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

Washington wants the world body used as an extension of its foreign policy. Nations opposed are targeted for regime change.

Endless US wars of aggression rage to make all nations subservient to its interests.

The business of America is war - endlessly raping, destroying, and pillaging one nation after another. Its imperial madness may doom us all.
