Daily US-Led NATO War Crimes in Afghanistan, Says Russia

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

US-led terror-bombing indiscriminately massacres countless thousands of defenseless civilians in all US war theaters.

Civilian deaths and injuries aren’t aberrations. They occur daily from indiscriminate terror-bombing.

US rules of engagement permit anything goes. What’s required to be observed is ignored. Laws of war and international humanitarian laws don’t matter. Washington rules override them.

Western media imperial press agents conceal what’s vital to report. Post-9/11 US wars alone have been responsible for millions of casualties.

Countless numbers more mount daily in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Civilians in harm’s way are indiscriminately massacred in one country after another, the highest of high crimes committed unaccountably.

Countless thousands of rotting corpses remain to be recovered in Mosul, Raqqa, and from numerous other crime scenes.

During the 1991 Gulf War, US armored bulldozers buried countless thousands of Iraqi soldiers alive in their front line trenches, mass graves created during the cradle of civilization’s destruction.

War never ended, waged by five US presidents, holocausts committed in all countries attacked - from Korea and South East Asia to the rape of Yugoslavia to Afghanistan and all other post-9/11 wars of aggression.

Barbarous campaigns are falsely called humanitarian intervention, liberating struggles, and democracy building - notions Washington abhors.

Most Americans are none the wiser, lied to by their government and supportive media. The US and Israel consider civilians legitimate targets.

The Jewish state admits it. The self-styled indispensable nation conceals its wanton destruction of cities, towns, and villages, massacring countless thousands of civilians in residential communities.

There’s no place to hide in US war theaters, entire countries vulnerable to indiscriminate terror-bombing. That’s what imperialism is all about. Conquest and control alone matter.

On Thursday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry expressed outrage about daily US-led NATO slaughter of civilians in Afghanistan, a statement saying the following:

“We are outraged (by US-led) NATO’s ‘errant’ attacks in the country (that) have become almost a daily reality, while no one has been held responsible,” adding:

“(T)he current situation is a result of gross miscalculations the US made in Afghanistan and the White House’s reliance on the use of military force to resolve the situation in the country.”

“We call on Washington to reconsider its short-sighted policy and opt for diplomatic measures aimed at launching an inter-Afghan dialogue.”

Russia’s outrage is justifiable. There’s nothing aberrant about what’s going on. All US-led wars of aggression are waged the same way.

Nations threatening no one are raped and destroyed, the human toll of no consequence. New unnamed countries on Washington’s target list wait to be attacked - an endless cycle of Nuremberg-level high crimes, no end of them in prospect.

Near daily US-led terror-bombing incidents massacre countless numbers of civilians in Afghanistan and Syria, earlier in Iraq and Libya, currently aiding the Saudi and UAE mass-slaughter and starve Yemenis to death.

The horror of endless wars continue because Washington rejects resolution.

Global wars and instability serve its imperial agenda. Peace, stability, cooperative relations with other countries, and responsible governance the way it should be defeat it.

A Final Comment

Russia’s Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev warned about ISIS involvement in Afghanistan, similar to what’s gone on in Iraq and Syria.

He called ISIS a contributing factor to deteriorating conditions in the country.

He failed to explain that ISIS terrorists show up where Washington deploys them, using them as imperial proxies.

The US is waging forever wars in Afghanistan and elsewhere, ISIS and other terrorist groups serving its interests.

Patrushev saying “(t)he only possibility to solve the political problems in Afghanistan is to reach a nationwide accord by political means and with active international support” ignores US rejection of restoring peace and stability to war-torn countries, ones devastated by US aggression.
