Congress Passes Record Amount for Militarism and Warmaking

Annual US spending for war on humanity is euphemistically called “national defense authorization” legislation.
Since WW II ended in August 1945, America’s only enemies have been invented ones. No real ones existed for nearly 75 years, notably since Soviet Russia dissolved.
Yet endless US wars on humanity persist, countless trillions of dollars poured down a black hole of waste, fraud and abuse at the expense of eroding social justice and other vital homeland needs.
It’s all about pursuing US rage for global dominance, along with continuing the greatest wealth transfer scheme from ordinary Americans to privileged ones - bankers and war-profiteers at the top of the pecking order, Big Oil and drug industry bandits close behind.
Bipartisan complicity serves them exclusively, the nation’s poor and disadvantaged increasingly neglected.
GOP hardliner Rep. Jason Lewis called recipients of welfare and government assistance “parasites” and “scoundrels.” He said Black Americans “traded one plantation for another.”
Bipartisan extremists called for slashing aid to the nation’s most vulnerable more than already.
A mid-July report by the Trump regime’s Council of Economic Advisers turned truth on its head, claiming poverty in America is no longer a problem.
It called for requiring work to be eligible for Medicaid, food stamps, and other programs as a way to slash social spending - freeing up more of the nation’s resources for war-making and corporate handouts.
In June, Senate members overwhelmingly approved spending $716 billion next fiscal year for militarism and war-making - by an 85 - 10 majority.
Last week, House members passed similar legislation by a 354 - 54 majority. The measure authorizes Trump to wage cyberwar at his discretion against invented US enemies - notably against Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.
House and Senate versions will be reconciled and sent to Trump for rubber-stamp signing. The measure reaffirms Washington’s commitment to NATO it controls.
It prohibits military cooperation with Russia, falsely declaring the Kremlin in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention - a US/NATO/Israeli specialty, not Moscow’s.
It increases funding for US-led NATO forces in Eastern Europe near Russia’s borders. A new National Security Council position is created to counter nonexistent Kremlin US election meddling.
Anti-China provisions are all about Washington wanting control over a part of the world not its own.
America’s bipartisan criminal class wants global hegemonic control achieved - color revolutions and wars of aggression its favored strategies.
Spending toward achieving its imperial aims is over double the annually approved “defense” appropriation - including countless billions of dollars in black budgets, and other allocations related to militarism and warmaking.
